Saving the Universe, For Certain Values of 'Save'
Crap.
It just hit me how terrible Mass Effect 3’s ending is.
The Mass Relays are destroyed? Then…
- Miranda will never see her sister again
- Samara will never see her daughter again.
- Wrex will never see his children.
- Tali and most of the Quarians will never walk on Rannoch.
- Liara and Garrus will never know if their homeworlds survived or not.
- Aria will never take back Omega.
- Thousands of Quarian and Turian soldiers will no doubt starve unless Earth can somehow provide them with dextro-amino foods.
- Krogan armies are now trapped on Earth and Palaven with no way to ever return home. They are… unlikely to react well to this.
- Every habitable world is now either struggling to rebuild after Reaper attacks, swamped with refugees or both, and has no way of gaining outside help.
- As a result of this chaos, it is entirely likely nobody will remember to feed Shepard’s fish.
