It's All Full of Stars
Mar. 19th, 2008 02:26 pmArthur C. Clarke Dies at 90
Clarke's always been my favorite science fiction author of his era. There's a real sense of wonder and discovery in a lot of his stories; that the universe is massive and full of unknown and perhaps unknowable things, and that we're just scratching the surface of what's out there. And his depictions of the future... well, they generally turned out inaccurate, but they don't feel as laughably dated as most of his contemporaries.
RIP, Arthur Clarke. Thanks for the entertainment.
