Immersion breaking moment of dialogue in Skyrim today, after encountering an NPC who while explaining a quest, says he's going to 'cut to the chase'...

That's... not really an idiom that makes much sense in a medieval world.

Skyrim discovery of the day: Having been raised to the rank of Thane by the Jarl of Whiterun, guards will now look the other way if I commit minor crimes in the city.

Minor crimes such as stabbing the Jarl of Whiterun's son occasionally when bored.

Current Mood: amused

Warning message encountered in Skyrim today:

“You Cannot Eat Quest Items”

Bah! Call yourself an open world RPG, and I’m not even allowed to eat the quest items? What kind of stupid hand-holding restriction is that? If I want my character to eat the quest item instead of using it to finish the quest, I should be allowed to do so! Especially when I can’t remember what quest the item was part of in the first place!

Encountered a minor NPC in Skyrim today, by the name of 'Temba Wide-Arms'.

Ten points to anyone who gets the reference... *grin*
