Dec. 20th, 2007 07:50 pmHoly Crap! 3D Realms, after a mere ten years of development, have actually released a teaser trailer for Duke Nukem Forever! And it looks awesome! It's gonna have guns and aliens and... um... weightlifting... and... um... barely coherent one-liners... and...
I gotta hand it to 3D Realms - after spending so many years apparently doing nothing, the merest hint that they're still actually working on the game is enough to get me excited. I'd pretty much convinced myself back in '04 that 3D Realms was actually just an elaborate practical joke... Now granted, I'm not entirely sure the "total silence for years on end interrupted by brief trailers" method of building public excitement is necessarily a better process of getting publicity than the "actually release the damn game already" strategy, but I guess at this point, they've made their choice.
