Culture Clash

I am always amused by how much Australian Christmas iconography still incorporates snowflakes, snowmen, and other such things that make little sense in a continent where Christmas falls during the middle of summer and it rarely snows even in winter anyway.

Then again, it feels slightly odd to be celebrating Christmas at all at the moment, when the weather the last few days seems more appropriate for the feast of Sol Invictus...
