'Resistance is Futile' (Laughter, applause)

So I’ve been trying out Star Trek online again as they transition to a free-to-play model. Apparently my having used a ten day free trial was enough to qualify me as a ‘returning player’ eligible for their early access program.

My old character and ship were still there, though my inventory had apparently filled up with tribbles in my absence – probably should have seen that coming...

Something rather odd happened while I was playing – I destroyed a Borg ship, and it dropped some items. I flew over to pick them up, and found they were, of all things, ‘Entertainment Provisions’.

I have no idea what Borg entertainment would be like, but I imagine it’s essentially ‘Everyone Loves Hypnotoad’.

I ended up selling them to some unfortunate colony...
