So, kinkmeme I'm on, someone requests a vampire AU. And why not, all fandoms have to spawn vampire stories after a while - I've seen several vampire stories written for "The Devil Wears Prada"...

Anyway, they request that they want 'real vampires a la Dracula/Interview With a Vampire, not faggy Twilight ones'. Ignoring the homophobia - people have already criticised them for that at the prompt - I have just one question:

In what universe are Interview With a Vampire vamps ideals of macho heterosexual manliness?!

I'm only familar with Rice's vampires from the film, but my memory was that Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise seemed to spend most of film trying not to kiss...
