4thofelevenEveryone else seems to be trying this, thought I'd give it a go. Surprisingly challenging, but I tried not to cheat too much with colons and hyphens. A couple of the sentences are a bit of a stretch for the theme, admittedly, and a couple are essentially just about Grunt.
(Why those two? I tried a couple of actual pairings and ran out of ideas after a few sentences. For some reason Grunt came to mind, and I managed to get more than a dozen sentences done without much effort, and decided I might as well try and finish it.)

Normandy’s interior had been designed with human bodies and comfort in mind, yet despite that, he felt so much more at ease there than he had the few days they’d spent on Tuchanka.
#02 – Kiss
He’d finally realised the humans around him weren’t mauling each other as a sign of dominance, but he still had the vague desire that Shepard would claim him as her own like that.
#03 – Soft
The tank had told him humans were all weak and soft, but if that was true, then why was he the only one wearing armour whenever they talked?
#04 – Pain
“Pain reminds me I’m still alive.” She’d murmured after a battle as she’d been carried to sickbay, and he’d been shocked to hear her speaking one of the same mantras the tank had taught him.
#05 – Potatoes
He felt he’d enjoy cooking more if there were more foods where ‘mashing’ them was a legitimate preparation method.
#06 – Rain
Feeling rain on his face for the first time had been a shock, and he’d seen the amused smile on her face when he stopped for a second to enjoy the sensation.
#07 – Chocolate
It had looked like a solid, but somehow it had become a liquid while he was eating some of it, and he glared suspiciously at the goo covering his hands.
#08 – Happiness
He suspected following an alien woman into battle on an alien ship hadn’t been what Okeer had bred him for – and that only made him happier that his ‘father’ was dead.
#09 – Telephone
It was always hard to hear orders being relayed over the din of combat around them, but he always understood what she meant, no matter how badly the other squad members misheard her words.

He sometimes envied humans for their large ears and acute hearing, but then he remembered how feeble their own sense of smell was, and decided he probably had the better deal.
#11 – Name
It occurred to him one day that he’d known her name before he’d known his own.
#12 – Sensual
He wanted to rest, but he stubbornly clung to consciousness, feeling her hands touching his body as she carefully removed his battered armour and applied medi-gel to his wounds.
#13 – Death
She’d conquered death already when he met her, and he couldn’t quite make himself believe it could ever claim her again.
#14 – Sex
He’d never admit it to anyone but himself, but sometimes he fantasized that his first time with a woman would be with her, and she’d teach him in sex as she’d taught him so many other things.

She was the first thing he’d touched that wasn’t the tank, and he still remembered holding her neck in his hand as she stared back at him fearlessly with cold confidence in her eyes.
#16 – Weakness
Her only weakness is she agrees to work for people unworthy of her loyalty, he thought to himself, thinking of the cowards on the Council and the Illusive Man, hiding behind holograms.
#17 – Tears
She’d tried to hide it, but he’d seen a tear in her eye after the Horizon mission, and he’d almost ripped a hole in the Normandy’s hull afterwards as rage that anyone could make her feel like that washed over him.
#18 – Speed
He plays a game in combat, where he counts how many enemies he can kill in a short period of time, mentally keeping count for both of them and trying to best her scores.
#19 – Wind
He didn’t think much of the ancient film, but he liked the image of a great gust of wind carrying a person away from their drab past into a strange bright new world because he felt it was something he could relate to.
#20 – Freedom
Most people would have left him in the tank, but she’d freed him, and he could never properly repay her for that.
#21 – Life
She fought to save lives, not just to take them; he didn’t understand why, but he knew it was important to her, so he tried to do the same.
#22 – Jealousy
It should please him that his battlemaster and his clan leader were allies,and yet it still annoyed him on some indefinable level to see Shepard so relaxed around Wrex.
#23 – Hands
He assumed that, as a warrior, she must have killed people with her bare hands in the past, but he had to admit that even knowing her skills, human hands looked ar too small and delicate for such things.
#24 – Taste
It’s not that he’s hungry all the time; he just always enjoys the sensation of tasting something, anything, that’s not the bland nutrient liquids the tank had pumped down his throat.

He hadn’t expected to like the Quarian engineer, but he’d come to realise that of all the crew, she was the one who best shared his unquestioning trust in Shepard’s judgement – and perhaps also the vague longings he felt towards the commander.

Intellectually, he knew Krogan had much longer life spans than humans, but whenever he thought about it, he convinced himself that somehow Shepard would always be his battlemaster.
#27 – Blood
He hadn’t realised how badly injured Shepard had been until after the mission was over, and he wasn’t sure if it was because he hadn’t recognise the weird red liquid as blood, or if he just hadn’t even considered the possibility that Shepard could be injured.
#28 – Sickness
On Tuchanka, the Krogan had flinched when they learned where he’d come from, as if he had some sort of disease, but she’d seen him in the tank and still never doubted he was anything but a warrior.
#29 – Melody
Okeer’s programing and his own instincts had made him crave battle, but it was only when he’d first heard the noise of Shepard’s rifle firing mixed with the sound of his own weapon that he’d come to love it.
#30 – Star
He didn’t understand how the galaxy display on the bridge worked; all he knew was that Shepard would point at a star, and a few moments later they’d be on their way to another battle.
#31 – Home
It had been fun to visit Tuchanka, but it had only further convinced him that the Normandy was his real home.
#32 – Confusion
The worst part of that first blood rage hadn’t been that he hadn’t understood what was happening to him, it was realising his battlemaster didn’t know either.
#33 – Fear
He had nightmares sometimes about what he would have become if someone else had freed him from the tank, if instead of following her he’d become just another Krogan mercenary or bodyguard, lost and directionless.
#34 - Lightning/Thunder
The crackle of the arc projector, the thundering boom of the missile launcher, the blinding flash of the Cain explosive charge; he always liked the surprise of learning what new weapon they’d be using on a mission.

It had truly shocked him to hear Zaeed so causually mention he’d be leaving once the Collectors were defeated; he couldn’t comprehend the idea of someone willingly leaving Shepard after fighting at her side.

He thought he understood why Shepard always stopped at shops to buy fish, but once he learned she wasn’t eating them after all, he was more confused than ever.
#37 – Technology
He’d felt less alone when he’d found out about the cybernetic technology that had rebuilt her, and realised her body was also something someone designed and not the product of nature.
#38 – Gift
The M-300 Claymore shotgun was banned in most civilized systems and cost almost as much as a small warship on the black market, so he decided not to ask how she’d acquired one for him.

He still didn’t really understand human expressions, but he always felt a sense of utter satisfaction whenever she bared her teeth at him in that odd way.

The tension and stress in her expression always faded away when she listened to him excitedly tell her about some new discovery he’d made – and there were always new things to see or hear or taste that he’d never experienced before.

He almost wished the human-reaper had been finished when they’d fought it, so he could have seen her in action against an enemy worthy of her skill.

There was an odd distant look in her eyes sometimes when he asked her about old battles, and it reminded him how ancient she was compared to him, how much she’d seen and done already.

Wide open skies still make him feel dizzy, but missions outside are the only places where he can truly unleash his skills without worrying about rupturing the hull.

He’d heard somewhere that humans once believed women escorted warriors after death to a realm of eternal glorious battle, and he wondered if the tank had been his life and she had simply brought him to his reward.

He fell into darkness as the Collector base crumbled around them, and he’d almost accepted he was going to die when he’d felt her arms pulling him back from the abyss.

He always had a good feeling about missions on worlds with bright suns, after that glorious battle in the heat of Haestrom against the Geth.
#47 – Moon
The tank’s lessons had failed to light any fires in his heart, but when he followed her, the power of her convictions let him glow with reflected light.

The Salarian insisted the Collector Drones weren’t intelligent, but Grunt was sure he saw ripples of fear begin to spread through the creature’s ranks as Shepard cut her way through wave after wave of them.

It bothered him when he saw humans with the same hairstyle as her but who lacked any of her skills, as if they were trying to claim membership in a clan they weren’t worthy of.
#50 – Supernova
The Collector base flared bright as a sun for a moment, almost blinding him as he watched through the observation windows, and he nodded in satisfaction thinking of what they’d achieved together.
