Scorpio Going on Libra

4thofelevenAlright, why is this 'new Zodiac' thing now all over the news everywhere? I mean, this isn't new, the Zodiac's been off for a very long time; I'm pretty sure I knew it was off by almost an entire sign when I was in high school. Even ignoring the idocy of taking astrology seriously, why is this being treated as something new?
Unrelated: Since astrology takes into account all the planets, including the ones discovered in modern times, I've always felt it should just go whole hog and take into account every celestial body. Every asteroid, every minor planet... Mainly, I just want an astrology that explains the significance of, say, Asteroid 6042 Cheshirecat or 2309 Mr. Spock on one's personality.
