Formating and Etiquette

Does anyone else find themselves obsessing over ensuring all their LJ posts use consistant formatting? I mean, I realise most people probably aren't checking through my archives to see if both my fanfics were posted in the same format, but I still check myself to make sure that the titles were both put in the same sort of quotation marks... I have the same obsession with ensuring all my university essays are formatted identically. Oddly, I'm completly oblivious to inconsistant formatting in other people's work.

Anyway, question: How long do you think a post should be able to get before it needs to be put behind a LJ cut? I don't care myself, but I was wondering if anyone was thinking my longer posts should be cut.
