Also, given the quintessential change of Rebootverse's backstory for Kirk, they'd have to change Kirk's own connection to the case accordingly (maybe Wynona instead of George Kirk was stationed on that planet?.

(Oops.) And TOS never mentioned it again after that one episode. A movie-length exploration could be really interesting.
