A patron of the arts and science, Ja'far encouraged the spread of Greek knowledge into Baghdad and the Arab world, and helped establish the first paper mill in the Middle East. As a result of his contributions towards the spread of knowledge and culture, he has of course been permanently remembered as the archetypal scheming backstabber, and his very title is virtually synonymous with 'untrustworthy would-be usurper.'
I kinda want to know what random obscure and innocuous 20th century president or prime minister will be inexplicably remembered a thousand years from now as a demon summoning servant of darkness seeking absolute power...
