4thofelevenLocal train station came up with a brilliant idea to deter loiters - play classical music all evening over the intercom. Didn't seem to actually work, since apparently teenagers aren't actually driven mad by the sound of Vivaldi, or possibly because it's a train station, and people have to loiter there because they're waiting for a train.
So they've modified their system. Now, the intercom blares early 90s pop music all day. Granted, this is a better system, in that it will sure as hell deter loitering and vandals. Downside, of course, is that it will also deter any regular passengers who'd appreciate not getting this crap stuck in their head all day...
